Originally written by Plant and Jimmy Page for Led Zeppelin II, the song famously draws lyrical inspiration from J.R.R. Plant first brought Saving Grace together in 2019, beginning with a handful of small, low-profile shows in intimate venues across England. Since then, the project has evolved naturally, culminating in the release of their album Saving Grace in 2025, followed by a U.S. tour last fall. The entire project, he explained, developed in an organic way—free from pressure, expectations, or long-term ambitions.

He reflected on the band’s journey with a sense of calm satisfaction, pointing out that nothing was forced and no grand plan was driving the work. Instead, the focus remained on enjoying the music and letting it unfold naturally. Even the idea of touring in the U.S. came without heavy expectations, more as a continuation of something that simply felt right rather than a calculated move toward a peak moment.

Meanwhile, Stephen Colbert has been stepping deeper into the world that inspired “Ramble On.” He recently shared that he is involved in developing the script for one of the upcoming films in The Lord of the Rings franchise. Collaborating with his son Peter McGee and writer Philippa Boyens, Colbert is working on The Lord of the Rings: Shadow of the Past, a project that will follow The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum, directed by Andy Serkis, who famously portrayed Gollum in the original films.
