Slayer Announce Reign In Blood 40th Anniversary Shows in Minnesota and California

Slayer are set to dominate this year with two special shows marking the 40th anniversary of their legendary album Reign in Blood.

After teasing fans with a series of cryptic, album-themed posts earlier in the week, the band officially confirmed on April 21 that they will take the stage at Mystic Lake Amphitheater in Shakopee, Minnesota on September 4, and at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California on November 13. The California date will be especially significant, as it marks their first performance in the Los Angeles area since 2019. Both shows will feature Slayer performing Reign in Blood in its entirety.

The Minnesota concert will include opening performances from Down, Suicidal Tendencies, and Hatebreed, while the California event will bring an equally intense lineup with Cannibal Corpse, Cavalera, and Crowbar providing support.

Pre-sale tickets go live today at noon local time, with general sales opening this Friday, April 24.

These anniversary shows are just part of Slayer’s activity this year. The band has also been announced as a headliner for Rocklahoma, where they will close out the festival at Rockin Red Dirt Ranch in Pryor, Oklahoma on September 6—another performance set to celebrate the legacy of Reign in Blood.
