Art Garfunkel and His Son James Unite in a Timeless Performance Across Three Generations

James Garfunkel, also known as Art Garfunkel Jr., was born in 1990. He has joined his father on stage multiple times, including a notable performance at the US Open Tennis Tournament in 2002 when he was just 12 years old.

Phil Everly, part of the American rock duo The Everly Brothers, passed away in 2014. In his memory, Art and James Garfunkel dedicated their renditions of “Devoted To You” and “Let It Be Me” to him. These songs were major hits for the Everly Brothers in the 1950s and 1960s.

Art Garfunkel’s tour began in January 2019 in America and wrapped up in November 2019 in Germany. Throughout the year, he performed at various venues across the United States, United Kingdom, and Germany.

Before performing, Art Garfunkel introduced his son with warmth, calling him his “pride and joy,” and expressed his admiration for his son’s voice. They then embraced and sang into the same microphone, accompanied by guitarist Tab Laven and keyboardist Paul Beard. The performance received enthusiastic applause from the audience, who cheered and clapped in appreciation. The recording of the live performance, dated May 12, 2019, in Napa, has been widely shared on social media, with many fans expressing that it evoked deep emotions and provided solace.

Art Garfunkel is set to tour again in 2022, with scheduled performances in the United States and Europe, including Germany, The Netherlands, and Denmark. It is yet to be confirmed if Art Jr. will join him on this tour.
